President's Message
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset — proudly known as “Rotary After Dark” (RAD) — and honored as a Governor’s 2026 Silver Club of Distinction. On behalf of our members, thank you for visiting our website and learning more about our mission.
Rotary is the world’s largest nonprofit service organization, bringing together leaders and volunteers dedicated to creating positive change locally and globally. From the ongoing fight to eradicate Polio to initiatives supporting peacebuilding, education, and environmental stewardship, Rotary continues to make a meaningful impact around the world.
This year’s Rotary theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” perfectly reflects the mission of Simi Sunset Rotary. Sometimes impact begins with simple acts, such as providing books to children through our “Reading by Nine” literacy program. Other times it comes through transformative efforts like our Shoes for Little Souls program, which provides disadvantaged students with new school clothing and the confidence that comes from knowing their community cares.
This year, we are also proud to support an international project in Baja California focused on helping abused women build self-sufficiency through job training and guidance.
The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset is passionate about serving our community through volunteerism, fundraising, and fellowship — all while having fun along the way. Through our efforts, we proudly support organizations including the YMCA, the Simi Valley Free Clinic, and many other local and international causes that reflect Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
We proudly support our community through service and fundraising. Our signature events include the Endless Summer Beer Fest and Johnna’s Tea Party, held annually the Sunday before Mother’s Day to benefit a local cancer support organization. Our Simi Valley Endless Summer Beer Fest on August 29 has become a community favorite featuring craft beer, live music, and a fun evening in the park.
We often refer to our club as our “Rotary Family” because of the friendships and fellowship we share. Rotary is non-political and non-religious, welcoming anyone who wants to give back and make a positive impact in the community.
We invite you to join us as a guest at one of our Tuesday meetings at 7:00 PM at the 99.1 The Ranch studios in the Simi Valley Town Center. You can always count on good food, engaging programs, and great fellowship. Our doors are open to all, and we look forward to meeting you.
